Wednesday, February 1 &15

Spanish Book Club

The Spanish Book Club (Club de Lectores) meets the first and third Wednesday of each month, at 7 PM in the Conference Room on the second floor of the library. No reservation necessary, just show up! Please call Patricia Todd, bilingual Librarian, at 626-570-3212 extension 1, during library open hours for more information. Book Club will be held in the Second Floor Conference Room at 7 p.m.

Great Spring Book Choice

Each member will share their two book choices with the group and how it relates to the groups goals in Reese Hall. Please come with only 2 ideas for books in February, March, April, and May. If you have any questions please call Lisa at (626) 570-5008 Ext. 5651. Event will ne hels in Reese Hall at 7 p.m.

Making a Miniature Cake for Valentine's Day

Minature artist Flora Tseng will demonstrate how to create your own cake in minature scale. This program is for adults. Registration is required. This program is FREE. For reservations call (626) 570-3212 x1. Event will be held in Reese Hall at 1 p.m.

Tuesday, February 7

The Kings Speech Movie Screening

The story of King George VI of Britain, his impromptu ascension to the throne and the speech therapist who helped the unsure monarch become worthy of it.  Rated R. Event will be held in Reese Hall at 6:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 11

Scrapbooking, Knitting, and Crocheting

Instructions available for knitting and crocheting. Please provide own materials. Event will be held in Ruth C. Reese Hall at 2 p.m.

Monday, February 13

Children's Chapter Book Club: inkheart by Cornelia Funke

Join us as we discuss our title of the month over tasty snacks. For grades 4-6. Sign up in the Children's Room. Program will be held in the Story Time Room at 4 p.m.

Family Movie Afternoon: Inkheart

Meggie learns of her father’s talent for bringing characters out of books to life and must do her best to rescue them before it’s too late. Starring Brendan Fraser. Event will be held in Ruth C. Reese Hall at 3:30 p.m.

TAB Monthly Meeting

Join us for our monthly meeting in Reese Hall at 3:30 p.m.

Saturday, February 18

SAT Practice Exam

Teens are invited to take a practice SAT exam sponsored by Kaplan. Registration is required. The event will be held in in Reese Hall at 10 a.m.. Call (626) 300-1549 for more information or stop by the Teen Desk.

Tuesday, February 28

SAT Practice Exam Results Night

Teens who registered for the SAT Practice Exam will receive their exams and a representative from Kaplan will go over the results. Event will be held in the Teen Homework Center at 7 p.m. Parents welcome!
