HOMEWORK ALERT

  • Inform us as soon as possible of upcoming assignments. We can research our collection and, if needed, designate some children's books as "Library Use Only" in the Children's Department.

  • Give written assignments to students to avoid confusion on the parameters.

  • Allow us to pre-check any bibliographies that you produce to see if we own those titles or can suggest similar titles.

  • As we cannot provide enough copies for all students assigned the same topic, please consider alternate related topics.

  • Accept a variety of sources, as entire books on a limited subject often do not exist.

  • Schedule all class visits at least 7 days in advance. We can then be properly staffed and prepared for your arrival.

  • Limit phone reference questions to no more than 5 specific titles or 5 titles on a subject. For more extensive requests e.g., Teacher Packs, please give us 3-5 working days to gather the best materials for you. Scheduling is at our discretion.

  • Promote Library programs and general use of the Library!

The Children's Room circulating materials are selected for children's reading interest. The Homework Center non-circulating materials and the Children's Internet workstation are provided for their curriculum. Photocopiers, both black and white and color, are located in the Children's Room.
