TELEPHONE RENEWALS

To renew books by phone, call: (626) 289-8341

To use the Automated Renewal System, you will need:

• A touch tone phone

• Your Alhambra Civic Center Library Card

• The items you wish to renew

Remember, not all items are renewable. You will not be able to renew:

• Overdue items

• Entertainment Videos/DVD's

• Items on hold for others

• Items that have already been renewed twice

Call the Automated Renewal System at (626) 289-8341 then follow these steps:

• From the Main Menu, press 2 for Account Options.

• Enter your barcode number using the numbers on your touch tone telephone.
  Press 1 for renewal options

Choose a renewal option:

• Press 1 - to renew items one at a time by entering the barcode number

• Press 2 - to renew all of your current items (automatically renews all renewable items)

• Press 4 – to hear a list of items that can be renewed

If you selected 1, enter the barcode number from the back cover of the book. The Alhambra Civic Center Library books all have barcode labels on their back covers, in the upper right hand corner of the book.

If you selected 2, you may renew all of your current items automatically. For a listing of items that could not be renewed, press 1.

If you selected 4, the automated voice will read each title you have out. It will tell you the date the item is due, then give you the option to renew (press 1), go to the next item (press 6), or go back to a previous item (press 5).

Press the * key on your phone to go back, and/or end the renewal process. You may also simply hang up the phone when you are done.

You may also perform other functions with the automated telephone system. You may list the titles you have on loan, list or cancel any holds you have placed, state current fines, and list overdue items, just follow the automated voice prompts.
