Esther Lee and Jennifer Duh from the County Department of Mental Health will join us on Zoom on Thursday, April 15th at 6pm to discuss some of the themes from Rising Strong by Brené Brown. This panel discussion is for everyone, but we'll be paying particular attention to the Asian-American experience as it relates to the themes of resiliency, honesty and vulnerability. Dr. Esther Lee is currently a Supervising Psychologist in the Contract Management & Monitoring Division (CMMD) of the Quality & Risk Management Bureau in Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LAC DMH). She works with the clinical component of the legal entity contract management and monitoring unit and supervises the low MCA legal entity providers contracted with LAC DMH. She has worked for LAC DMH since 1997 and focuses on providing clinically and culturally sound quality of services to all residents of Los Angeles County.
Jennifer Duh is a licensed clinical social worker and currently works at LA County as a clinician for the part 13 years. She received degrees in child & adolescent studies and social work. Jennifer has also practiced meditation for several years and participates in a meditation group in a Chinese Buddhist organization. She volunteers providing guided meditation at the beginning of staff meetings to promote a calm, supportive, and open working environment.
