Junk Drawer Art

Don't throw out those odds and ends just yet, turn them into Mixed Media Art. These visual artworks combine more than one medium or material, which can take many forms. We will use different materials such as paint, fabric, paper, and found objects to create unique collages.

All teens and adults are invited to bring whatever small items they have collecting in their junk drawers (not required). Recommended items include buttons, shells, broken jewelry, bottle tops, and miscellaneous knick-knacks.

It's not only resourceful, but a perfect idea to coincide with Earth Day, spring cleaning and recycling.
